Is Carfile free to use?+
Carfile will launch with a free tier covering up to two vehicles and 20 service records each — plenty for most drivers. A paid plan with unlimited vehicles, PDF exports, and priority reminders will be available at launch. Waitlist members get 12 months of the paid plan free.
How does logging a service actually work?+
Open the app, select your vehicle, and tap "Add service". Fill in the date, odometer reading, what was done, the cost, and the workshop name. Attach a photo of the invoice if you have one. The whole thing takes under a minute and the record appears instantly in your vehicle's timeline.
What if I don't have records for older services?+
Start from today — that's fine. Carfile is built for forward-looking record keeping. Add what you know, leave gaps where you don't, and build your history from here. Incomplete records are still far better than none when it comes to resale.
Who can see my vehicle records?+
Only you. Records are private by default and protected at the database level so no one else can access them. The only time data is shared is when you explicitly export and share a PDF — which is fully under your control.
When can I get access, and who gets in first?+
Carfile enters closed beta in Q3 2026. Waitlist members get access in sign-up order — the earlier you join, the sooner you're in. iOS, Android, and web will all be available at launch.
